Hi. Your age might play a part in making your skin appear darker in certain areas at the moment. So it could be temporary. As your hormone levels settle the skin could lighten again.
In the meantime, if its dark skin pigmentation, you wont be able to scrub it off. It will make your skin sore if you try. People with olive or darker skin tones can have dark areas under arm, around the groin area ect. Its quite normal but can be a pest if you want to wear sleeveless tops or shorts/bikini bottoms. Hair growth can play a part in this. Because the hair is usually dark, even when shaved off it will still be visable just below the skin and make areas appear darker. Try talking to your mum about the problem and ask her advice. She might have gone through the same thing and have some tips. Laser treatment will remove the hair completely and make the skin appear lighter. You might have to wait until you are a little older if you want that. I dont know if there are age restrictions on that type of treatment. But it does help a lot. Also there are skin creams that lighten the skin. But again id talk to your mum about that, as some creams might not work or actually be bad for your skin. So you would need to research them carefully and be safe. And then there are camouflage creams that will cover the areas you arent happy with. So have a look around at the different things you can try but just be careful about what you use. And always remember to use sun screen when out. Even if the weather isnt very sunny! Apply a high factor screen to the darker areas of skin, because the more sunlight they are exposed to the darker they will become.

Uhm... that's your skin's pigment and it's normal to have it. I don't think you can do much about it, but to deal with it.
