A male United States age 51-59, *eekjames4 writes:

My wife is upset with me due to my past mistakes that I didn't remember??? I love my wife! My family and my friends have told her about my past mistakes and she won't let me live those mistakes down! I have also lied to her about some of my past, but I admitted to those lies! My alleged friend has told my wife other things that are untrue about me! How do I get my wife to overlook my past? I love my wife and don't want to lose her over my past! Any suggestions?

aunt honesty agony auntIt is really hard to offer you advice when you don't tell us what you have done in the past that you have lied about? Talk to your wife and tell her the truth and why you lied to her. It really is her choice if she wants to forgive you and move on or not.

Why would your wife believe your alleged friend who is telling her lies about you???

Why wouldn't she be taking your side automatically and defending you???
