I am not at all shy but i never talk much to new people. i dont know what to talk about, even with my friends i dont talk much so i dont get too close to them. i really want to but i dont know how. its really becoming a problem for me now. i want to be popular. i want to be talked about but i dont know what happens to me. Please help

reader, anonymous, writes (11 September 2010): Different countries have different cultural norms. Me advising you from the US to what is good in India would not be good. But a nice compliment towards the person you are meeting is usually a good reason to be remembered. Also, remembering their name, and using it when saying goodbye is always a plus. Just remember to be polite and follow your cultural norms. Good luck!

You could try finding a style or something that you can wear that is unique so that they will focus on and remember that. Or try asking the people you meet about themselves. People tend to remember someone better when they listened to things that they had to say. Also make sure you give a noticable hello and goodbye to them.
