I don't feel ready for that now and I'd rather wait a few years. But I seem to be obsessing slightly with the idea of having a boyfriend. I fell for someone over the summer. I don't find him attractive and I don't want to be with him, but we're quite close and I keep on being drawn to him. As well as that, every time I meet someone new I seem to instantly see him as a possible future boyfriend even though they're normally not my type at all! How can I just forget about men for now and concentrate on living in the present? It's really annoying!

i dont think its forgetting about men completely it is you want to do. its best to keep your mind open to all sorts of new experiences and go with the flow. on average a woman changes their opinion on 'their type' every 2years.
just keep an open mind and discover what it is you want out of a relationship and what sort of man/woman would provide that need. get out there, have fun and enjoy it, single or not.
good luck :)

I think everyone feels like that. All humans like to have someone else there. :)
But it really is amazing you're strong enough to know what you want and stick to it. Let guys come to you. That way you'll find guys who genuinely want and like you for who you are.
