reader, anonymous, writes (22 December 2009): There are lots of good books about this, try the self=help section in Waterstones or a similar big bookshop. Also there will be quite a lot about it on the internet.
You don't say whether you suffer from depression as well. If you do, tell the doctor and you can get counselling which would also help with the self-esteem.
Your future will be happier once you learn self esteem, and you have made the first step already, which is recognising you need help with this.
