jmw1975 is verified as being by the original poster of the questionThe main problem is her self-esteem issues, due to her size. I've done everything I can to reassure her that I love her and that her size is not an issue for me. I'm just frustrated and looking for answers.

What is it you're wanting to try?? It's not always the body size that causes inadventure. Sometimes it's the position itself that is the issue. For example, it doesn't take body size to have an aversion to anal sex, or even doggy style. All it could take is a dislike of being on one's knees or a feeling that it's a degrading sort of sex.
If you want sexual adventure, I'd suggest you get some videos that describe different positions and their benefits (NOT PORN!!!! I can't stress this enough!) and watch together. There's one site called "Bestsexpositions.com" that you can take a look at and try.
If you two love each other, then you can make her feel like a super sex kitten no matter what size she is. And if body size is an issue to her, then what do you do together outside the bedroom? Do you go to the gym or play a team sport? Do you have kids?

I thought "boys need a little more booty to hold at night". Does size 18 automatically mean sex sucks? Does she not enjoy sex itself because of body image issues? It depends on what new things you are talking about. If she can't enjoy sex because of insecurity, that's something she has to work on herself. Introducing kinky is not going to help that. I can tell you, with any boyfriend I've had, missionary (mostly), on top and doggy style (sometimes) is what we've all done. If you are both happy with each other trying new things is just the top of the icing, not something you desperately need to have.
