reader, anonymous, writes (22 August 2011): Not to accuse you of anything, but I think being mistrustful and being insecure are different things. He is being mistrustful.
About all you can do is point out that lots of relationships don't end like his last one. Tell him you don't deserve to be punished for things that someone else did to him.
