I hope that question isn't inappropriate for this site; I wouldn't think it would be....My thing is that I'm not comfortable with fingering or inserting anything, and all the techniques I've looked up are pretty much centered around that. And before you ask, believe me, I've tried to give it a shot, and I get so nervous and squeamish that it just isn't worth it anymore (and sometimes I even make myself sick from nerves). The only way I've been able to have an orgasm is by using a vibrator, but it didn't feel very good. It just felt like.....just a reaction, not very much pleasure. Before I bought a vibrator, I'd always used a pillow, which I hear a LOT of women use, but while that always felt really, really good, I never even once came close to orgasm in all the times I've used that method. What are some different techniques I could use that don't require penetration? How can I make an orgasm actually feel pleasurable?

feywild126 is verified as being by the original poster of the questionI've been practicing, and I've noticed that I get pleasure around my opening. I just.....have this itch that needs to be scratched, around there, but I'm nervous by the thought of fingering myself. I'm wanting to try it, but I'm squeamish. What should I do/ how should I go about it when I AM ready to try fingering?

Small vibrators (not for insertion) can work well (on the clitoris), some only needs fingers (again no NEED to insert ANYTHING) Studies show that almost 80% of women don't orgasm from penetration (alone).
IF you buy a vibrator online (Adam and Eve for instance) have a wide selection of clitoral vibrators.
There is also many books on the subject, like :

My choice is a hand held shower head set on pulse held near the clitoris... NO penetration. MOST women do NOT orgasm from penetration.
you could also just get some good silicone based lube and massage the area of your clitoris until YOU figure out what works FOR YOU... every woman is different.
half the fun is figuring out what works for you so you can teach your partners later on.
