I have a problem... I have a crush on some one that has a girl friend that im' completely jealous of for 1. she has a relationship with him and 2. she looks prettier than me (because she wears make up) so any ways I had some one to talk to him for me before she came to my school and they said that he did not like me because of a look he gave me when they introduced me to him.But when I got mad at the whole fact that they where going out with each other I all of a sudden got deprest a little and have not been myself lately and no I have not talked to him I mean some times I tried but I just can't what should I do it seams like I can't get over him I mean he is a immature iddiot and yet I cant get over him. What should I do, he looks at me all the time even though he has a girl that he is going out with and he tells people that he dosent like me or know me I mean how can I at least have a normal day with out crying or geting mad about him?

Laura1318 agony auntIf you don't like to remember somebody, you need to demonize and vilify him. Think of all those negatives things about him and you will puke at the mention of his name.

A reader, anonymous, writes (23 March 2010):

I was in the same exact situation in middle school/beginning of high school!

Boys at that time are pretty immature, but you still love them for some reason. I cried a lot about a boy I really liked. I didn't wear make up either. I was cute, but not 'sexy'.

Just don't make the same mistake as me. For the boy I was crazy about, I changed myself. I tried to be 'sexy' like those other girls and he ended up liking me. Three months later we had sex. I was only thirteen. I regret it still, a lot. And it sucks. Don't make that mistake.

Just know he isn't worth it. He'd be worth it if he saw you were much better than the 'sexy' girls.

Sometimes it takes a lot of time to get over a guy you really like. Sounds like you need to find another boy to like. Any cute boys at school? Invite 'em to a movie or something and hold their hands. Let yourself have a good time and don't think about the other boy. Don't worry, it'll get better.

I'm sorry Sweetie, I hope everything turns out okay!!

Remember, most relationships at young ages turn out to be heartbreaks. Trust me, all mine did. I was pretty naive. But I'm not trying to preach at you. Like boys and have fun--just don't change for anyone.

Good luck!!
