well first let me tell you that am going through the same thing. Its really hard to get the picture out of your head its easier said than done. What helped me was that I kept my self busy with chores, homework, going out with friends.Just keep yourself busy and sooner than later his picture will stopping getting in your head.I hope this helps.

Sometimes I like to think of them and other times I want not to think of them as it gets emotional. I don't want to forget them but I wish that when I think of them it wasn't emotional. I will try the method from anonymous below.

I was trying to forget about this guy and just like you, I wasn't doing very well. I tried this technique and it definately helped a little! What you do is picture the his face in your head, and then imagine seeing it in black and white. (It takes a bit of concentration!) When you've got his face into black and white, you then imagine it moving backwards away from you, getting smaller and smaller until you can't see it anymore.Do this with as many images of him as you can, and what should happen is that you gradually let go of the hold these images have over you.At the moment they are popping into your head uninvited, and this method is supposed to give you your control back, as by reducing the images and pushing them away from you in your mind you take control over them and they are unable to pop up and should gradually fall out of your thoughts altogether.Hope it helps!! xxx
