writes: Okay. I really like this one guy, and I want him to ask me out more than anything! But he's either shy or uninterested, or not noticing, or something. Because I can see something when I look in his eyes (cheesy, I know) and there's definitely something important. But he won't say anything! What can I do? And I need a solution that doesn't have a possibility of ending in humiliation!

reader, anonymous, writes (8 October 2006): well if he is shy he may be afraid of regection too. why not start a conversation with him and u will then have and idea if he is into u. if he is taking to long to ask u out, u can ask him. there is nothing wrong with asking him out for coffee or nice walk. besides its 2006, dont be afraid of coming off as desperate. just go for it before its to late. u never know if another women is going to come along and ask him out before he or urself makes the first move.
