My problem is that I am probably about to be kicked out of my apartment because my boyfriend and I can't afford the bills anymore. When we first signed the lease, we were both working full-time and I was going to school (still am, but working part-time), but now my boyfriend has been unemployed for more than 2 months and just recently started looking. I can't afford everything on my own. We are incompatible in our relationship, and I told him a few days ago that I wanted to break up and move in with some friends. The problem is that the apartment is in mine and his mother's name, and I am having a hard time trying to find someone else to move in and take over the lease. If I can find someone, the apartment management will not charge me any fees, but if not I will be evicted and charged 700+ fees as well as rent until another renter is found!!! Does anyone have any ideas how to find someone to move in? I have posted on Craigslist, but no one is answering me and I don't have much time! Please help!

Craigslist is about the only way to go with that besides asking people you know. Sometimes the newspaper online you can post an ad, but I'm not sure if they charge a fee. My only advice is to give a lot of info about the place, terms and condition, and pictures also help a lot. Besides just posting an ad, you can find people looking for places to rent and you can write them. I know some rental management companies just follow the book, but have you told them your situation as far as no longer making the same income? Sometimes they might have options that you may be interested in.
