Compared to others, I don't really have alot to lose, however because I'm not drastically overweight I am finding the extra pounds very hard to shift. Does anyone have any tips? I love my food and would never even contemplate starving myself.

I've been taking a look at your situation. Congratulations your Body Mass index of 24 is in the Normal range. It would probably be a good idea to get a body fat calculation done at this point. You can do this yourself easily with the US Navy's calculator which is available online. It requires a few measurements that you might need a friend to help you with. After that if you feel you still need to lose a few pounds exercise is the way to go. You are nearing the end of the dieting period so you need to stabilize your weight with activities and diet that you can live with for years and years. So do things you like if it takes 14 weeks or 28 weeks to lose those last 14 pounds that's OK. The goal now really is to maintain the level of fitness. Again congratulations on your progress so far!

Intensify your work out, do more cardio for longer periods of time and lift more repetitions of weights.
Weight loss is a simple math formula, calories burned have to be greater than calories consumed. Muscle weighs more than fat and burns calories faster even in your sleep.
Excercise is important to keep weight off.
If you are working out, look less at the scale and pay attention to inches lost.
If your target weight is 126 lbs, the consume no more than 1200-1300 calories per day....divide this up among healthy whole wheat grains, lean meat, poultry fish, nuts, dairy and vegetables and fruit. The foods with the most fiber in them keep you full the longest, like whole grains, nuts and legumes and vegetables and fruit.
Stay away from juices and high calorie beverages, keep your total sugar intake to less than 32 grams per day, that is all type of sugars.

I forgot to mention that I noticed your flag says you're from the uk, rowlands pharmacy do an excellent weight loss treatment, its called celebrity slim. Ask to talk to the pharmacist about it and they will be able to give lots of information. A starter pack includes an assortment of shakes and soups, a recipe book, a weight loss diary, and a shaker for your drinks. If you don't want the whole of this then you can buy separate items. My mum has lost lots of weight on this, and we both work for rowlands pharmacy so we are trained to give information about it. All of the customers which we have on celeb slim have been successful when they have stuck to it, and its not that hard to stick to. X

Just eat smaller portions, thay way you can still have your food but you just won't be taking in as many calories. Do you eat healthily? Do you snack a lot? I would cut out all snacks and just stick to square meals. Drinks lots of water, it makes you feel full. If you drink diet fizzy drinks look on the label because most of them contain aspartem (I think its spelt like that) and this makes you more hungry. If you want any other information then message me.x
