I cleanse and moisturize daily but I still get the odd spot or two which make my skin look bad. Are there any ways of getting rid of spots quickly? Or at least a way of making them look less obvious? My foundation/concealer isn't doing a very good job of covering them up! I'm pretty limited on supply as I don't live somewhere where I can just slip down the chemist, but I'll take any advice.

Overeating makes me break out without fail, so it may be connected. Oh and find a good cleanser, because if you use one that dries your skin out (like I did for a while) it makes you break out more. Don't use a junk moisturizer either, find one with nourishing oils, etc to put on at night. It will make your skin stay healthy and even during the day.
And the cheapest secret I have, is that if you want to have glowing skin for a day, mash up enough aspirin to cover your face, mix it with honey and leave that on for 20 minutes. But if you overuse that your skin will not like it. It's about a once a week treatment at most. I use it for special occasions or dates.

An old boer remedy that my mom taught me as a kid. I still use it to this day and I have (touch wood) never had any problems with my skin, and get loads of remarks about it. I dont use any makeup products on my skin because I dont need to.
Wet your face with water. Get normal kitchen salt and rub it into the skin. I mean rub it really well into the skin, but dont be that vigarous either that your skin is raw! Wash off the salt and use a cleanser and moisturizer. Dry your skin. It should feel as soft as a babies bottom, and within a few days, you should notice a difference.
You can only do this once a week, no more than that!
Good Luck!

Not really. I always had bad acne and even now get spots (I@m 22). But if you keep using creams and watch your diet (lots of veg/fruit, not so much junk), then your sink will look a lot better.
