Tell his mother! Hehe, well that's what would work with my boyfriend, though he would go if I asked him to anyway.
All you can do is express yourself as clearly as possible, tell him it would make you feel a lot better if he got it checked out to confirm it's nothing.
Or alternatively google it, come up with some scary possible problem/disease it could be and scare him into getting it checked out.

If there is no pain or discomfort, it could be a benign tumor or a cyst or some growth tissue. There is no concern and no life threatening danger.
