I have promised her time and again that I'd work on becoming friends with her (since that's what she wanted) and I've broken that promise every single time by telling her something romantic.Well this year I've decided to try to stop contacting her for as long as possible (in hopes of both letting myself concentrate on studies and her realizing that she actually misses me). But thing is, I'm finding a hard times trying to even do that. I keep thinking about her and sometimes I'm even on the verge of trying to contact her.Is there any specific thing I can attempt to make myself forget about her for the time being?

if i were you i would just go and have a good time with my friends. if you try to forget about her then you wont because you'll be constantly trying not to. girls are difficult, maybe she likes you to and is afraid to say so but i wouldn't get your hopes up because girls do tend to just want friends, maybe its better for you to concentrate on your studies.

Unfortunately there is no drug to make you forget something. That would be amazing. But, there isn't.
Try to keep you busy in something you like to do, like a hobby. Studying can be pretty boring and you won't be able to concentrate if you have her in mind.
