She always approaches me first, she does odd things like subtlety draw attention to her cleavage (actually more often than not its overtly), always makes extended eye contact with me (or if im not looking ill catch her watching me), she adresses me in a softer tone than everyone else, She will ask me to follow her (very coyly) and help her with menial tasks that she can easily handle by her self. But later in the week she will ignore and avoid me. It's innapropriate for me to ask her to hang out or text her about non work related topics because she holds a higher position than i do (she doesn't directly over see me but still). I find her attractive and would like to get to know her outside of work, but im not sure if she likes women and the way she acts throws me off. What do you think i can do in this situation?

she may not be into women and may just like you as a friend...it may be that you like her as more and are reading things into her behavior that she's not intending...ask her to go to lunch one day as a co-worker and see what happens.
