How can I find a guy for me?

Question - (17 July 2010) 2 Answers - (Newest, 18 July 2010)
A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I'm 19 and have never had a boyfriend. I know it's extremely young, but everyone else started dating at 13. I've gone on dates and hung out with guys, but nothing ever seems to work out. Either guys are interested in me and I'm not interested in them, or vice versa. I also have trouble finding a decent guy. But I worry I am emotionally unavailable because I'm afraid of getting hurt (divorced parents and all that). So I feel like I don't put myself out there enough when I am around guys, giving off the "friend" vibe. Then there's another part of me that wonders if I'm just not attractive. I am overweight but dress well and consider myself to be pretty most days, but I don't feel that most guys agree. How can I find a guy for me?

I think it's great that you have some standards for what you want out of a man and a relationship. It takes time to find something quality which will be fulfilling and long lasting. I wouldn't worry about your weight too much at all - and it's great that you feel pretty already - you shouldn't try to please everyone else, but be who/what you want to be. It may just take more time to find the right match. Try going out more, meeting more people, and doing things that help you develop and grow as person. Also, just practicing your social skills (in school, at work, out having fun) will help you prepare for the right person and moment.

RAINORFIRE agony auntif you think your overweight guys will think your fat... so i would start buy loosing weight eating healthy and going to the gym not hard to do at all. men generally like a certain shape im not saying looking like that will net you a man but it will certainly increase your odds..
