How can I figure out if my friend feels the same way about me that I do about him?

I never thought I'd go gay, but i possibly might, I met my best friend when I was 3, we played soccer together, I'm 13 now and we both still play soccer and we are always partners with each other for all the drills and stuff during practice. I'm goalie and he is defense so we're a great team also, I go to his house all the time, and he comes to mine. We are basically each other's families, he comes over and he'll stay for dinner and doesn't need to ask, I'll go over and do the same on another night. But anyways about 1 or 2 years ago, I started to see something in my best friend that I never saw before, I want to tell him how I feel, but I don't know if he will respond the same way, we have had some "experiences" before that make me believe he has some feelings for me, and may be gay, bi, or bi curious. Please help me to figure this out, should I ask my friend and figure this out w/o really revealing how I feel!?!
