How can I convince my boyfriend I'm not violent or rude now we have broken up?

Question - (7 June 2009) 2 Answers - (Newest, 7 June 2009)
A female United States age 36-40, *weetheart1nonly writes:

My boyfriend has cheated and frustrated me so much but I tolerated a lot of things and I loved him so much until one day he missed four appointments we had, I blew up and started texting insults to him like using the f word, cursing him out, saying things like God would punish me, he'll die, rot in jail and so much more. The nex day, for 2 months, i kept begging him and apologised to him.

I am not that kind of person, for 3 yrs we went out, this was the first time I've done such. He broke up with me and said I'm violent and all, when I'm not.

I still love him and want him back. Am i really guilty as he says and how can i prove and show him, I'm not that person?

How do I gradually show him when he's not even communicating with me and I haven't seen him since the 23rd of May?

A female reader, anonymous, writes (7 June 2009):

It takes time for someone to get over that kind of thing. You just have to gradually show him that you are expecially caring and compassionate but on the other hand maybe the break-up was meant to be.
