How can I change my boyfriend overreacting to small things?

A female Canada age 36-40, *ubblygirl writes:

I am recently in a relationship with a great guy and have been dating for the past 2 months. He treats me right, talks to me everyday and constantly tells me he cares for me.

The only problem is that little things keep popping up. He seems to overanalyze things. For example, recently all I do now is go over to his place and hang out. Thats fine, but I still want to go out places and when I suggested we slow down on the making out and head out again, he took it personally and said he was embarrased and felt bad that he was making me feel uncomfortable. He over thinks things and its scaring me, even making me over think things too now.

I care for him and want to be with him. We even have met each others friends and family. Are we taking things too fast? I dont want to sweat the small stuff, how do I change this? Help!
