I've found this to be true for "many" women. Some have orgasms with the cowgirl ride much more reliably than other intercourse positions. Some also have good success with doggie style if the man knows how to slide at the right angles. But with cowgirl, you can control angle and you're possibly (likely) massaging your G-spot with the right angles.
The solution is to do cowgirl first, I would think, and enjoy tour orgasm(s). Then he can go atop for his, if he didn't already get off. Better yet is the man gives you orgasms orally prior to intercourse, which may heat you up so well that anything may bring on another. It often works very well.
