 there are so many answers to this question - some people do it for payment or for their children. others do it if they have been in abusive relationships and need to feel safe but are not in love, alot of ppl do it for security and some ppl may be forced into it. its a stupid thing to do but alot of people feel the need to do it.

 Some people do it for money, some people do it for their children or unborn child, some people do it because they know the other person is a very good person and know they are good for them, and some people just do it.
Sometimes other things are more important than "love" to people. It's not right or wrong on its face (each situation is different), but it's a fact of life for some people.
