Sex can actually bring on a period, so this may be a possibility if you are continuing to bleed.

But after, anything more than spotting could be a sign of a problem. I would wear a pad and wait it out. If it doesn't stop soon or you start to feel large amounts of pain, dizziness, or notice an increase in flow, get yourself to the ER. Next time, use some lube! It will really help with the pain.

In these situations if the bleeding or the pain doesn't go away it is necessary to see a doctor or go to the emergency department and get the tear banded ( almost like a small stitch to stop the bleeding) What you are experiencing could very well just be the normal bleeding that many experience after losing their virginity, however, if the bleeding doesn't stop, gets worse or there is significant pain it may be necessary to go to the emergency room. In the future using a lubricant made to work with condoms would help prevent future tears. Under No Circumstances should you pack anything into your vagina to try to stop the bleeding. Good luck, and if the bleeding or pain doesn't stop within a significan period make sure you see a doctor and do the right thing because a serious tear can be a dangerous thing.
