 Did the boy's friend tell you that he only likes you as a friend, or did the boy himself tell you? I'm confused.I think that you need to tell him how you feel, directly to him. Unfortunately, there's not much you can do if he doesn't reciprocate. Enjoy his friendship, but date a variety of people.

Well if he only likes you as a friend then you don;t have to do anything.
Move on and meet other people to try and get over him.
And don't trust your friend with stuff like this again if you are unhappy he told.
