I like to make noise but have to be more subdued for two reasons, 1.his roommates and 2.he has told me once that it was one of the reasons why he would orgasm early. He makes no noise whatsoever and the only way I know when he is enjoying himself is when his hands urge me on. I can understand that he is quiet during but only when he slows down is when I know he's done. I wish he would make some noise like a grunt, groan, or a moan, some kind of indication that I'm doing something right. He has told me a few times that it was so intense he could feel it all the way to his toes but remains quiet. Are a lot of guys like this or what?

Have you made love at your place? I've read and heard of a lot of complaints from women about performance. Not that the guy doesn't make a sound. How can you not hear him breathing?
Maybe you can compromise and ask him to whisper to you in your ear. If he's self-conscious about being heard by his roommates; they may have made fun of him. It is likely he is controlling his orgasm; and the more noise he makes, the more reactive you will be. Bringing him to orgasm sooner than he wants to reach it.
Some guys just like to be unique. They don't like to do what other guys do. They have they're own style.
A word of advice. The less you complain about a guy's performance, the better off you are. Tell him what you like and need; but don't let your insecurities be the motivation behind it.
