He's newly divorced and has already found a new gf. Would I sound clingy if I write him a Christmas card? - in symbol I'm there for him/as friends?

A female United Kingdom age , anonymous writes:

It turns out that the guy I really like has a new girlfriend (sure it's a rebound thing, she doesn't seem his type at all, and he's just divorced).

He knows I like him, but now I feel self concious about sending him a Christmas card - I would like to remain friends, or sort of let him know that I will be there if he needs me. Should I send him a card, or text/e.mail him wishing him a happy Christmas?

Or will he think I'm needy/clingy?

dearkelja agony auntSince when is it a crime to wish somebody a Merry Christmas? If he is your friend, then do what is in your heart to do. As for the girlfriend, you have to respect her. Who knows it may last longer and be stronger than you give it credit.

bleh222 agony aunthmm it depends what kind of person he is.. if you feel he gets annoyed from you, then don't do anything. if you feel he thinks of you as a friend then it's alright to wish him a merry christmas.
