Should I send him a card, or text/e.mail him wishing him a happy Christmas?Or will he think I'm needy/clingy?

Since when is it a crime to wish somebody a Merry Christmas? If he is your friend, then do what is in your heart to do. As for the girlfriend, you have to respect her. Who knows it may last longer and be stronger than you give it credit.

hmm it depends what kind of person he is.. if you feel he gets annoyed from you, then don't do anything. if you feel he thinks of you as a friend then it's alright to wish him a merry christmas.
