He's got a girlfriend so why is acting so nervous?

A female United Kingdom age 51-59, anonymous writes:

I started a job around 3 months ago. I noticed a guy at work, we both seemed to stare at eachother. We got on well and when he spoke to me he seemed to really warm to me, however on that same day I felt this, he told me he was off to meet his girlfriend and went home. I was gutted but had to put it behind me ...at least he was honest from the outset.

Now it seems he is awkward around me and nervous, he sits close to me at times,I could hear him breathe, he still looks at me, I believe he likes me. I like him too and I'd like to spend time with him but its awkward since he made it so clear he had a girlfriend.

Now last week he looked directly at me and caught my eye and smiled, and waited for me to smile back, he did it again 2 days ago. So is he just being friendly or giving me the come-on?? Yesterday he stopped me to ask me abt something and he went bright red and put his arm right up behind his back exposing his arm pit (wearing a shirt) ive heard that can be a come on sign, what should I do, he seemed to be aroused but i pretended I didnt notice!! what should I do, just ignore him? QuirkLady agony auntBe friendly, but not too friendly. The man is in a relationship and you need to respect that. Back off and stop looking for signs. If he becomes single, he will ask you out. Until then, keep on going with the rest of your life.
