He's going to a party as a female and wants me to help dress him

Question - (12 May 2009) 1 Answers - (Newest, 12 May 2009)
A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

One of my best friends who is male recently told me a secret of his. It's not uncommon, he gets turned on by wearing girls clothes and has fantasies of having sex with girls whilst in girls clothes.

This isn't a problem with me, however...

There's a fancy dress party coming up and he is coming as a female and he wants me to help him dress, apply makeup, do his hair etc, but everytime he talks about it to me, i can't help but feel a tiny bit akward.

I love him so much and he's one of my best friends, but i haven't known him that long and i think i'm finding it hard truely being comfortable with him when he talks about this stuff to me.

If i can't be comfortable talking about it with him, how can I ever help him without making him feel ashamed or awkward?

I want to be completely comfortable with this but i can't help feeling bad about the fact that when we talk about it, i feel a slight resentment to want to talk.

Any ideas on what i can do to help me and him?

kellyxxx agony auntJust plod along and keep talking and help him, you'll get over it, you just need to find time to adjust! When my friend of 14 years came out and told me he was gay I was in the same situation as you are really, but I just carried on as normal because there is nothing else you can do. Eventually you will get over it. X
