A female reader, johannabanana United States +, writes (18 July 2010):

johannabanana agony auntIf a guy wants you he goes after you. It's as simple as that. First of all just stop talking to him all together. If you being out of his life bothers him he we call you and try to talk to you. If you don't hear from him he doesn't care and it's time to move on. And if you see him next year after he treated you like that make sure every time he sees you around you look confident and happy like you didn't need him then and you don't need him now. That catches any guys attention and he will feel just as bad as you did we he never called. If he didn't treat you as great as you deserve to be treated find someone who will.
