reader, anonymous, writes (25 October 2010): He needs to resolve those mental issues from his past on his own. You cannot help even if u have such intention as you cannot control his thoughts. He needs to go back and look at his past, reason with it, and feel confident to move on. Otherwise, he presents himself a great risk at carrying past relationship issues into something with you and that is def not fair for either of you. He needs time to heal and more importantly think about his past so he can learn and move on.
