Dear Cupid and Readers.

I'm in need of some Ideas and thoughts.

I'm in a long distance gay relationship and We love eachother so much and we have the most amazing honest loving healthy relationship. I'll be joining him overseas so we can start our lives together and get married. We've always joked around asking eachother, "Will you marry me?" and we always reply YES, YES, and it is something that we want to do.

But I want to make it official. We've spoken about getting our wedding bands together, and about all of our future plans.

My partner has a skin complication where as he has a reaction to any metals on his skin, so we need to get a coating OR varnish on the ring for him not to get a rash.

Therefore chains, bracelets, are not going to be too good.

I want to propose and get on my knees and I have some special things to say to him, however I want us to get our rings together, what would you guys think would be something symbolic and special to give him when I propose until we get our rings?

Thank you so much.

Country Woman agony auntOK the reason I know about purchasing a star was the fact that my sister recently did this for a close friend.

Apparently the International listings mean that you end up naming the same stars over and over again so it is best to avoid those.

The UK listings are better apparently and you can do it all online and then they send you the information so very easy so I have been told.

Here are a few web site addresses which may help. Good luck. Let me know how your partner reacts eh!!!

www.starlistings.co.uk

www.starwishing.com - Maybe too International but one I saw

www.starregistry.co.uk

Hope the above helps anyway.

Country Woman agony auntHi I think it is fantastic that you are both making a committment to one another and so a huge congratulations to you both.

I also have what is known as metal eczema and I even have to warn doctors in operations but no problems so far thank goodness. You can get metals that will not affect him so I have been told like watches as a friend told me about them so I think when you do want to get your rings there are all sorts of possibilities.

In the meantime, why not think about a statue/ornament with two things intwined whether that is bodies or just two becoming one of something as you will definitely get the symbolism and it is somethin that you will both be able to enjoy for many years to come. The other idea is for you to buy him a star and name it after him as you get a certificate and it is something to keep that means so very much.

Just a couple of ideas for you to mull over.

Good luck.
