writes: ok, this probably will seem kind of petty, but just want other peoples opinions. I have a great boyfriend, he's hot, he's super nice and he treats me better than anyone else ever has. The only thing that kinda bugs me is he is like an inch shorter than me. Do people look at couples like that and think eewww?What are the chances that he will grow taller? (I'm like 5'7, he's 5'6, but his parents are taller than me)He just turned 16. Am I being ridiculous? I guess I'm just used to guys taller than me. Reply to this Question

I am 13 and my boyfriends 13 and he's like 3 inches shorter than me..hes cute, sweet and i love him..
i just dont want people seeing him with me because its weird havin a shorter boyfriend.

reader, anonymous, writes (8 September 2007): Big deal 1 inch i mean he is gonna be growing till he is 21 .Woman stop alot earlier,you may have the edge now but pretty soon the shoe will be on the other foot and you will be looking up at him and not the other way round.Dont make me laugh i mean people aint gonna notice that much unless you wear 4inch heels then they will.

its not like people will see the major difference. You shouldnt be embarrassed as its what u like about him that matters not everyone else. One word of advice tho and that is try not to wear too high of a heel around him cos u will tower him and it might intimidate him. Other than that and what I have learnt is that when 2 lovers are the same height it actually looks quite sweet. Who knows if he will get taller only time will tell. Look at it this way atleast u dont have to get the old yellow pages out and stand on it to reach him to give him a kiss and he doesnt have to get a bad back to bend down to u. Hope this helps. ;)

You do realise that male teens don't stop growing physically until they're about 21, right? Give it some time and he'll soon outgrow you. And even IF he doesn't, who really cares about height? I see couples like that all the time. It's really about how much you enjoy each other's company and the great time you have together. Don't worry too much about what others think and all will be well.

But really he will probably grow and if you are really worried about it then maybe you don't care about him as much as you thought you did. I realized that when you are with someone you love, you don't care what others think.

reader, anonymous, writes (28 October 2006): honestly theres nothing to worry about, thats bearly a gap at all, the boy i really like at the moment is also about an inch smaller than me, but when we're together people comment that we would make a great couple. my friends boy friend is alot smaller than her also, much more than an inch, but they love each other too much to care. Whats more important here? how you look from other points of views or how you feel about each other and your personal happyness. hope i helped!!
