writes: Heyy im 13 years old and for about 2 years or so ive been havin feeling for girls and no longer boys , ive told most of my friends but 1 or 2 think its just a phase but im 99 percent sure im lesbian , coz theres a girl ive fancied for a really long time and cant get her out of my head , i get really bad butterflies just thinkin about her and when i look her and she looks bk at me my heart beats a million beats a minute. I mean shes absaloubtly beautiful and when i see her sad im desperate to go see if shes alrite and it actually hurtz be a bit to see her sad but i cant go over coz although shes in my year were not frendz and ive hardly spoke to her . so my question is do you think its a phase and what ive described is a crush or do u think im actually lesbian . please help coz i cant stop thinkin about it all . xxx

 If your friends are the same age group as you then sooner or later they will feel different about things, it's all to do with adolescent, I'm sure some of them are feeling the same way it's just that they don't know how to analyze it or make sense of it. Also some people can't open up and ask these type of questions they keep it all inside.

You are only young. I'm not saying you are a lesbian or you arent but you certainly are at the right age where hormones are all over the place and they can send some really strange thoughts on things into our heads at that age. You just need to be able to scramble through it all and make some sense and order out of your feelings. In the meantime, you could befriend the girl you like and see if you get on okay. If it does turn out that you really are a lesbian and she isn't then you must live with that as well.
