My best friend has been trying to go out with her for three months now and from what I can gather, he isn't getting very far. When I see her on weekends, she always tells me that she's missed me. Some times she randomly and playfully says that she loves me. I'm the first one she told when she broke up with her boyfriend. She goes out of her way to sit with me. We're always hugging or sitting very close together. She was my background on my cell phone for a long time. When I changed it, she said she wanted me to change it back because "I was her best friend.", but I couldn't tell if she was kidding or not. I don't know what to do. I don't want my friend to go out with her. As much as I love the guy, I know he won't respect her. He's a real frat-boy type. Please help me! I'm going crazy over this girl, I can hardly get anything done. I can't even sleep! I've never felt this way about a girl before. I want to tell her how I feel this weekend, but I'm a more than a little nervous about it. Thanks in advance.

My advice would to be to tell you friend how you feel about this girl. But before you do this, ask her for an honest answer how she feels about your friend. Remember though, you need to decide who you want in your life first in case things don't turn out well.

Its always a difficult situation to be in as the best mate thing can cause soooo many probs, But if this girl has never paid much attention to your mate and nothing has ever happened before between them. As you like her so much I would be totally honest with the guy, And this girl does seem to like you and you only get one shot at getting the girl of your dreams and thats by telling her how you feel, then love dont let it go without trying as you may never get the chance again.
But be honest with your mate about how you feel really important, be prepared for him to be none to pleased, but your chances of happiness should not go missed if she has no intention of ever going to want to see your mate in that way, Its happened before yrs ago with me n my mate we talked and she said oh go for it im not that worried, But I had been so love honesty is the best policy TAKE CARE LOVE MANDY XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
