A male United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Hello people

I want some help here. 23rd september was my girlfriend's birthday. I had planned a surprise party for her in which I had called our friends. When I was arranging, one of our friend's boyfriend spoiled the arrangement by telling me that he won't let her come because he does not like us and does not want her to be with us. Well this is a different story that WHY HE DOESN't LIKE US. I wanted her to come because she has been one of our best friend for years. However in a mistake I told my girlfrend that I was planning a surprise for her and that one of our BEST friends cannot join and therefore I have canceled it. She at first felt really happy for my feelings but afterwards became depress as it was ruined.

Now comes my question. I want to arrange the same surprise for her with the friends who are willing to come. But how can I do it in a way that she gets surprised that she was supposed to be if the party would have been done in its real time. One thing more; She says if she knew I was throwing a party, she would have her hair styled the way I love them. So what is that way in which I throw a surprise party for her already passed birthday, take her to her favourite restaurant where she has her hair styled from a saloon and our friends are already waiting to surprise her and she gets startled as if she never knew that I was going to surprise her? Help me I want to surprise the fairy of my life and make her feel special. Thankyou.

fi_the_tree agony auntArrange for all your friends to meet at a restaurant, and just tell her that to make her feel better for the surprise party being ruined, that you will take her out for a romantic dinner. Tell her to go and get her hair and nails done, the just turn up at the restaurant with her!!

She'll be blown away, i know i was when my ex took me to the pub after my birthday meal and all our friends were waiting there for me!!

Good luck :)
