I would stay away from names that they are going to be made fun of for. I think Valentine is really cute, but it's more of name for your pet (my friend's cat's name is Valentine). And same with the Lord of the Rings name...sorry no offense to your taste. But those are just my opinions.
I think you want to go with something that's easy to pronounce but not too trendy...also something that flows with the last name. I don't really ever think of boy names, but for a girl I've always liked Brenna :)

My name is Leanna. I have that problem where people don't seem to read it properly and call me Leanne. It gets really annoying because people just cannot be bothered to read it properly. A lot of the people actually carry on calling me Leanne even after I've told them it's Leanna. It's been happening my whole life and it's hugely irritating. It's definately better to have a name that cannot be read wrong because it really has been the bane of my life. But anyway, rant over. :DI'm 12 weeks pregnant and have been thinking about names a lot too. So I'll share some of them with you...For a boy, I like Deryn, Joseph, Jakob, Declan and Devon. And for a girl, Cassie, Eva, Melody, Isobel, Layla and Seren (it's Welsh for 'star', I have Welsh blood).I love Kairee, that's lovely :) Good luck with the name searching and the baby!

My name "bryce" i have meet 2 people with the same name as me, and its nice to be a rare breed, bryce can be a girls name and a boys name also. i don't know about you, but i would hate to have a name that no one is able to say correctly at once, so maybe you could try for something a bit more... normal? remember, your child isn't a fantasy hero!
anyway, have a great motherhood ;)
