A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Hi everyone. I am so worried so please please help me. I found out on friday that I have clamidiya and I will have had it for two years. I had a std check when I found out my ex had been sleeping around and we broke up. I got the all clear. When me and my current partner got together he told me he had recently had a std check after a condom broke mid drunken sex. I found out 6 weeks later I was pregnant and had my daughter last december. She was and still is totally healthy by the way. I did a std test two weeks ago when my partner admitted to never having a test in his life. Now I have clamidiya and am picking up the antibiotics on tuesday but I am petrified I won't be able more children. I know I'm lucky to have my daughter and I should be grateful since many people can't have kids at all but I have always wanted a big family. Cud I be infertile? Please help I haven't slept since friday through worry. X

This is something that you need to speak about with your doctor. Chlamydia can highly reduce your chances of getting pregnant, I think when you fell pregnant you may have had it only for a few months at most. Where are you picking up antibiotics from? If it's not from the doctors, you could make a separate appointment to see a doctor, or nurse. Or you could go to a GUM clinic, if there any in your area. Try googling or using yell.com to find out if there any you can visit.

This site may help you, but you need to talk to someone properly about this. Good luck and I hope you make a quick and full recovery.
