I had the WORST acne for YEARS. I literally tried everything. I canceled out all the products that you can buy over the counter right away and began moving through perscription medicines. One finally worked for me. Can't remember exactly what it's called bu if you go to a dermatologist and ask him about the absolute final thing that they recommend to people with bad acne they might tell you about it. It's a last resort kind of thing because they have to monitor your liver and stuff and you absolutely can't get pregnant on it, but it works great.

I have heard that it helps some people but it does nothing or is even bad for others. So you don't really know until you try it. Having a diet low in vegetables might make you more deficient in pantothenic acid than if your diet was great.
My dosage was pretty high and maybe risky. But if you take the tiny little recommended levels it won't do anything. I still take about 500 mg of it daily to maintain.

Acne can be from many things! her'e are a few. it can becaused by you're progestogen hormones/ testosterones triggers the sebaceous glands to produce excess sebum. it can be from bacteria, poor hygiene/ diet. and it could be servere inflammatory acne, cysts that develops under the skins surface. also greasy lotions can cause it. squeezing the pimples only makes it worse and causes scarring
you need to see a dermoltoligist there is no easy way out but to have them find a medication, that will work for you. and if you have been living w/ it for this long and are a shamed i would invest in a Dr, who can help you and get it under control so you can be comfortable this summer and enjoy yourself.
Best Wishes!

My wife had this problem. You want to see a dermatologist before you end up with scarring.

The fact that I'm allergic to benzoyl peroxide didn't help since 90% of all medicines have it in it. But I found something that worked for me Clinique's Acne Solutions. I am now acne free. I also stopped eating chocolate because it makes me break out. Junk food also makes me break out. Salt water is a wonderful thing for acne. It helps dry your skin out. So if you can get to the beach, you will see your skin clear up in a few weeks.

Because the skin on your back is thicker than the skin on your face, this is generally safe to do. Experiment with different types of exfoliators - washcloths, loofahs, brushes - and watch your skin for any worsening of the acne or extreme irritation. If you use a scrub, try a sugar-based one rather than one with salt - this will be milder on your skin.
Use a medicated cream or gel like benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid if you are going to get rid of back acne. (It is best to choose one or the other of these, however, because they can interact negatively with each other if mixed.) Apply to your back about ten minutes after washing, twice a day. Be sure you allow time for drying, as these medicated gels can have a bleaching effect and damage clothing.
Also keep your fabrics clean. This includes towels, pillowcases, bedsheets, t-shirts and bras - and anything else you can think of that might touch your back. Dirty stuff attracts bacteria, and bacteria is really good at starting back acne, so laundry day might have to happen more often.
Lastly, tight clothing traps heat and moisture, which can irritate your skin. Clothes don’t need to be baggy, but your skin does need to breathe. Avoid using backpacks, heavy purses, or anything else that will rub against your skin, trap heat, moisture, and oils.
