writes:I went this summer school thing were if we didn't pass we go back to 8th grade but I went and missed 5 days and were only allowed 4 but when I returned they said it was ok and I spent 2 hours with the principle making up for the extra day I missed.. and he said I'm going to 9th grade and gave me my certificate and other girls in my similar situation but I missed those days because of a traditional native american funeral which took 4 days and I missed the 5th because I get very bad cramps to the point I gagged and almost throw up and can't walk or sit or lay and won't stop moving in pain... but now I got a letter saying there holding me back what do I do cause I did what I had to do to earn back my grade and my time missed please give me advice cause I don't want to repeat the 8th grade.  I'm sorry to hear that.
You need to discuss again the issue with the principal. It's pretty hard for a person to believe you felt really bad and such. I think you should get them a medical exemption for the day when you had that health problem, so you have a legal written proof.
