writes: Im 17 and yesterday I had sex with my boyfriend. It was both of our first time so it took a few tries to get it right. We were both a little drunk and it wasnt working with a condom so we decided to try without it (we are both absolutely STD free). We got it right that time and decided to keep going with it. Then we stopped and he put one on to be safe. Ive heard that even if he doesnt bust inside you, a little semen will come out and you could get pregnant. However what are the odds of this if he was only in without a condom for a minute or so?? And if you believe that I may be in danger, what do i do? Also, I know we are going to be doing this more (never again without a condom, not even for a second) and I would like to be on birth control but if my dad finds out he will probably shoot me. What do I do?

n yeah you can get pregnant just from doing that at 17 you should probs no better.
i got pregnant at 17 coz me n my bf were lazy with condoms and i was crap at taking the pill so have the injection or implant or something. just sort it out your dad doesnt need to know. x x

reader, anonymous, writes (1 October 2006): there are methods of birth control that yuor dad would never know about. an inplant can be inserted in the skin of your arm giving up to 3yrs protection and it can't be seen unless your looking for it. there is also and injection which you could have every three months. go to your dr or local family planning clinic and they can help you

 Yes you can, if it's within the 72 hours of having sex you can take the morning after pill this can be got from your doctor or over the counter at the chemist better to be taken as soon as possible to make it more effective, so as its now the weekend probably better over the counter rather than waiting til monday.
If you and your boyfriend are going to continue a sexual relationship I would suggest getting some sort of contraception yourself therefore covering the risks if the condom splits or anything like that.
Remember no contraception is 100% safe I know when I conceived my baby I was on the pill and using condoms.
You say your dad would go mad if you was using birth control but surely he would be ever more mad if you came home pregnant.

reader, anonymous, writes (1 October 2006): Yes it is true, what you did can get you pregnant...even if his penis is near your vagina rubbing can possibly get you pregnant. You need to see your doctor, get an early pregnancy test and go from there...who could guess the odds that you will be pregnant, not me or anyone on this site....you need to use condoms and foam, and would be best to be on birth control, because your dad will be a lot more upset with you if you end up pregnant...and the likelihood is high that you will be without it because you are young, fertile and now sexually active.
