writes:My best friend has been seeing this guy for a couple of months. He wont call her his girl because he says that they should just be with each other for now. He cant even say they are exclusive because he is "not ready for that yet" and he hates making promises he cant keep. WTF!! He cant even make the slightest commitment to her? Thats not even that much! He also says that he is not the type of guy to just lie and say he is her boyfriend when he isnt ready just to sleep with her. She won't do anything sexual with him unless she has some sort of commitment but he asked her for oral. He told her that as a guy its really hard for him to kiss her and not want to do more, so he would love it if she would suck him off because its not a big thing (in his mind) I told her that she should tell him to go find some slut if he wants sex and he said he has plenty of opportunities but he doesnt sleep around and he wants to have sex with her because he likes her. But I reckon he just likes her body. I dont want her to get hurt and it looks like he definitely will hurt her. Is my insticnt right on this guy?

reader, anonymous, writes (24 April 2009): I would say you are right. It's good that you are there for her. It sounds like she's decided what she wants, commitment, so if he isn't willing to give that then she should stick to her guns.
