writes:the guy that i like, likes me also but he doesn't want to go out right now. He says that he wants to wait untill he can drive soo then he can see me everyday. I think it's pretty logical buut i'm not going to wait thaat long for him that's like 3 or more years and it would be to late we might not even love eachother anymore.Also my friends i don't think like that i've been going to go hang out with him more and they get mad cause i hang out in that town now. While it's more funner than mine. My friend told me that i should tell him about how much i see him already and how whenever he would tell me to come up i would be up there in a second. so i e-mailed him and said everything i had to say he has read it but he still hasn't said anything back. I think he has just ignored it but everyday we still tell one and another that we love eachother. My friend also says if he says he doesn't want to go out i should just move on because i am wasting my time with someone i might not even go out with. Is this true should i actually move on?

reader, anonymous, writes (29 July 2007): Listen. He told you what he wants. You don't like it but going at him and trying to convince him to change his mind isn't helping. He'll resent you. So accept that he wants to be friends with you and he won't date til he's 16. How much do you want to bet that if it was another girl, he'd say the same thing?
I admire him for sticking to his guns. Come three years, you would be fortunate to date such a strong young man who knows what he wants and sets goals for himself.
I say be his bud and in three years...date the guy.
