He's stroking your ego and fluffing your vanity so he can string you along for casual sex strictly for his pleasure and solely at his convenience with absolutely no obligation and absolutely no commitment whatsoever on his part.

No. Players never change, they only lie about changing. And if by some miracle he actually has changed, he wouldn't be proclaiming that he's changed through his words, he'd be proving that he's changed through his behavior.
