My body tells me my period should come anytime now, but I'm still worrying.

I've been having the usual pre-mentsrual cramps, but no period as yet. Started my last period on the 16th of November, it is now the 21st of December.

The last time we had sex was the 3rd of December, and the week after that, I had a negative on a pregnancy test.

I've never had unprotected sex and my boyfriend has always tested the condoms afterwards (fills them up with water, seals the top and squeezes to show that there's no holes or rips), it's never come off during sex and he always washes his hands and genitals afterwards before coming anywhere near me.

It's really weighing on my mind- I've been having horrendous nightmares about it.

I know the chances are slim, but the last thing I want for Christmas is a pregnancy.

A reader, anonymous, writes (21 December 2006):

Chances are you have scared yourself into believing you are pregnant!!, it happens sometimes as soon as you relax then you should start your period naturally.

And if you are really that worried about the comdom breaking during sex, then maybe you should consider taking the contraceptive pill too just too be double sure. That way it should be almost impossible to acidentlly fall pregnant and you wont be left thinking that you could be pregnant everytime you have sex.

ok merry Christmas, And chill out!.

the best thing to do is take another pregnancy test, although it is highly unlikely as you are both very careful - it is still always possible. are your periods usually regular? you could visis your doctor or family planning clinic for a free test. And remember safe sex is fun, have you thought about maybe using a contraceptive pill to put your mind at ease a bit more?

hope this helps
