Maybe the best way is to ask him. You need to know where you stand and the only way to find out is to ask you. Perhaps sometimes he thinks you could be more than good friends and when you listen to him he might be feeling love for you. There is a chance though that he changes his mind the next day and doesnt know what to say so he ignores your calls. He might like you and doesnt want to push it just incase you dont feel the same. He might not want to ruin your good friendship and so he feels guilty and doesnt respond. Best way is to ask him where you standgood luck and remember being friends can be more special than actual lovexx

 Well he could be showing love and affection as he is craving that attention back from someone but really you are just friends and thats the way he wants it to stay, or he could be showing you love and affection because thats how he really feels and does the friends thing because he is worried you are wanting the same from him.
Talk to him, only way you will know whats going on and to know where you truely stand with him.
