reader, anonymous, writes (16 March 2008): There is a certain time (age) in a boy's life when there interest in girls begins. Many boys stay away because of stories they've been told (like girls are dirty). Some boys stay away because they don't understand them and are afraid of being humiliated.

 Move on, sweetie. You deserve better. And how do I know that you deserve better? I used to go out with guys who treated me like crap, and now I am with someone who makes me one of his top priorities, so now I know what it's like to be with someone who really cares about me (which I haven't had since childhood.) If he loves you, he should also love BEING with you. You have my condolensces.
