One minute he's sending me e-mails telling my that he's so incredibly lonely when I'm not there with him, and not being able to see/hear/touch/kiss me drives him nuts, and the next he's flirting with other girls right infront of me, and blowing me off for his mates. What's the deal here? Does he love me like he says he does?

 Maybe he doesn't love you but maybe he might not even realise what he is doing, some of us need to be told for us to see and realise what hurt our actions are causing others, talk to him and tell him how you feel, see what he comes back with and see how things change from that conversation and take it from there.

But as he said he doesn't want to feel alone so is keeping you on the hook so to speak. This means that when he hasn't got anything better to do he will see you. Lets face it he's treating you really badly and you know this. Why put up with him when you can find someone who can give you what you want?
