How do I know if he likes me??

He phoned me every night.And he say that he could nt sleep without hearing my voice.He claimed that this has become a habit.

Should I ask him if he likes me??

But I am afraid this would ruin our friendship.

Habit or not, I don't think you have to ask him if he likes you because he obviously does! Instead of asking him that, why not tell him you like him, assuming you do of course. I suspect he more than 'likes' you!
