writes: I have been hanging out with a guy for a while now. We get on well - flirt, hug and talk a lot. This gave me a positive view so recently I asked him whether he feels the same toward me. He said that he likes me as a friend, which disappointed me a bit. However, I am glad that we are still friends, but I am worried that he will behave in a distant manner around me. I am finding it difficult to treat him the same way as before... Please help.

reader, anonymous, writes (14 December 2009): You shouldn't let this bother you. If he says he likes you as a friend then that's just how that is, just act natural and his feelings for you might develop overtime...if not then he's just not the right guy for you...
